CannaButter is something that many people would love to know how to make.

Well, to be honest it is quite simple! However, you want to do it right as you’re using material that is not necessarily ideal to waste. If done properly using this recipe you can maximize the quality and quantity of the CannaButter you make.So to start we will begin by listing some of the things you are going to need…

**Proper Clothing Is a MUST. When you have fats and water together they tend to be very volatile and burning your arms is not a part of this recipe. So please use HOT GLOVES and long sleeves as you may or may not accidentally burn yourself.**

Materials you will need:
- A strong grinder to grind the Cannabis material.
- A stove to heat the CannaButter.
- A medium sized heavy duty sauce pan/pot with lid. It’s important to have the pot the same size as the element that it is on to ensure even heat distribution.
- A measuring cup.
- A whisk or a large fork to mix the material with the water/butter solution in the pot.
- Cheese cloth to strain the material before cooling.
- A bowl large enough to hold and cool the CannaButter material.
- A space in your refrigerator to cool and separate the water from butter.
- A heavy duty plastic wrap to handle and compress the CannaButter into a smaller, easier to handle shape.
- A freezable container to store the material
- A space in your freezer to store the finished product.

Please Make sure you have all these things before you begin and have them set aside as you will need them immediately during and at the end of the CannaButter making process.

Note:
To make a strong CannaButter you will need to adjust the amount of Cannabis you use in accordance with the strength of butter you would like. It is not recommended to make weak CannaButter or reduce the Cannabis:Butter ratio as you may feel “ripped off” after you’ve tried the butter.
This recipe will make about 350g of medium-grade strength CannaButter.
Remember you will have a small loss when handling the material.

So with that being said,

Ingredients you will need:
- 1lbs of unsalted butter.
- 2cups of water.
- 1 ounce of premium, middle or low grade Cannabis. Obviously the better product you use the better the butter will be.

That’s it!
Okay, Now go get your shit together and let’s cook!

To Prepare:
We’ll begin by grinding the Cannabis material very very fine. Way beyond the extent that you would grind it if you were smoking it. Make your Cannabis a fine powder. Using an electric coffee grinder dedicated to the purpose of grinding Cannabis or cleaning one VERY, VERY well. It’s suggest buying a rinky dink coffee grinder if you do not have one as cutting the Cannabis with scissors or grinding it with a space case grinder will not make the Cannabis fine enough.
You basically want a bowl of very, very fine Cannabis material.

Cooking:
Bring 2cups of water to a covered boil. Once the water is boiling, add your butter and melt it in the water. Once the butter is melted, reduce the heat to a very low setting so that when covered the CannaButter will simmer but not boil. We will now add the ground Cannabis material to the water and butter solution…Once you add the Cannabis powder you will whisk and mix it into the pot thoroughly, so that there are no clumps and nothing stuck to the bottom. Now that you’ve made sure there are no clumps in the solution, place the lid on the pot and leave the heat on a minimum temperature.
The CannaButter is now ready to simmer and cook for 22-24 hours. This amount of time is important. It is required to extract the THC from the finely ground Cannabis. However, you do not want to cook the CannaButter any longer than 24 hours. NO MORE THAN 24 HOURS. After 24 hours the THC will degrade and the butter will go bitter.
During this 24 hour cooking period you will need to check on the CannaButter every few hours to ensure that the boil is not to strong and to ensure that the butter has not reduced to much. If you find the solution reducing faster than expected it does not hurt to add a few table spoons of water over the 24 hour period.

Extraction:
Once you have simmered the CannaButter for long enough, turn the heat off.
Let the solution sit for 2-4 minutes and remove it from the heat.

USE APPROPRIATE CLOTHING AS THIS IS WHERE YOU CAN BURN YOURSELF…in other words.. don’t do this next step in your boxers.

You are now ready to extract the used Cannabis material from the CannaButter solution..
Place the cheese cloth over an open bowl and ensure that when the liquid is poured through the cheese cloth will not go with it. The idea here is to strain the solution using the cheese cloth so that you will not have bits of cannabis in the solution. Most of the THC is extracted by now. Once the solution has been strained through the cheese cloth and the material collected, you will have a solution in a bowl and cheese cloth full of soggy Cannabis material.
Squeeze and extract as much of the solution from the cheese cloth and material as possible. The butter solution is what you want, not the bi-product
which is the soggy Cannabis.
Remove as much of the solution as possible into the bowl.

Cooling:
Place the bowl with the CannaButter solution into your reserved space in your refrigerator and let it cool for a few hours, even overnight. This process will separate the fats from the water. The fat being our CannaButter. During this process you will be able to see the progress of the butter as it cools, much like watching Jell-o go firm. However, you want to let it sit long enough to ensure the complete separation of the fats from the water.

Removing Your Butter and Storing:
Removing the butter from the bowl may seem a bit tricky…but will be considerably less messy if you use the Heavy duty plastic wrap to handle the now solid butter. Simply remove enough plastic and use it like a doggy bag to remove the top slab of CannaButter from the bowl. Pat dry the CannaButter to remove any excess water. Now use the plastic wrap to compress the CannaButter into a smaller more manageable size. Store in a freezable, airtight container or mason jar.
Note:
Depending on the amount of CannaButter you make, it may be better to use a slotted spoon or spatula instead of your hands.

KEEP FROZEN AT ALL TIMES.
If kept frozen the butter will not go bad or lose any potency before you get around to using it.
The butter will melt quickly once it warms up.. so handle it quickly and keep it in the freezer as much as possible.
And that’s it! Now go lick clean some utensils and enjoy your CannaButter.

CannaButter can be used in a range of things and can even be used to bake goods like muffins, cookie and brownies. Some simply enjoy CannaButter on toast. Whatever you decide to use it in or on, remember that you do not want to re-cook it but baking it into something for a short period of time (about the length of time it takes to bake cookies or muffins) will not harm your CannaButter at all.

That’s it! Get cookin’!

In the great world of ganja, there is one breed of bud which every marijuana connoisseur will come across at one point or another in life: Brick weed. It’s flat as fuck, often times exhibits multiple shades of brown, and generally comes stuffed full of seeds and unsightly stems. This is weed that should really only be used in blunts or bongs, but sometimes you just can’t find or afford nice buds.

With just a little bit of effort and maybe a dollar in supplies, you can make your brick weed bearable. This trick makes it smell better, smoke better, and look better within a few hours. All you need is an orange peel and a ziploc bag.

Take your orange peel, and rip it into a few decent sized pieces. If you are doing this for 1/2 O or less, use less than half of the peel. For anything over a 1/2 O, use your own discretion- a full peel is good for up to 2 or 3 os. You do not want to add too much moisture as it will cause mold to flourish.

Line the bottom of the ziploc bag with a few pieces of peel, and put your weed on top of them. Put another piece or two of the peel over the weed, and seal the bag shut. Roll it the bag up as you would any other weed bag, and store it where you feel like storing it. After 1 1/2 or 2 hours, open it up. Take everything out of the bag and leave the weed out on a tray or plate to dry it out. Once it has dried out, put it back in the bag with the peels as you had before. Allow the same amount of time to go by, and repeat the drying process.

You can repeat this moistening/ drying process as many times as you’d like- the more you do it, the fluffier and greener the weed gets, and the more it will loosen up- the seeds will fall right out of the buds and you will be able to pick out most stems with ease.

Some people will argue that this process adds weight to bud, and may be considered a “shady dealer” process. However this added weight is only from adding the moisture, and drying it out properly will eliminate that element. Be aware of mold, and do not forget about your bags for too long in order to avoid that issue.

What you need:

3 tablespoons of ganja butter

10 ozs of marshmallows (minis melt the fastest!)

6 cups of Rice Krispies cereal

What you need to do:

1. Melt the ganja butter in a saucepan over the lowest heat setting on your stove top.

2. Add the marshmallows and stir so they are all coated in the butter

3. Allow them to start to melt for 3-5 minutes, then begin stirring. Continue to stir until all of the marshmallows have melted.

4. Add cereal. It is best to put in two cups at a time- mixing cereal into marshmallow is not the easiest thing in the world. You can remove it from the heat for this step if you’d like- I just find it keeps the marshmallows easier to work with.

5. Scoop it out and spread it as evenly ask you can into a lightly greased 13 x 9 baking pan, and put in the fridge.

Now you have 12 treats that will knock you on your ass!

You can also substitute the Rice Krispies with Cocoa Krispies/Pebbles or Fruity Pebbles- they’re all bomb.

This is one of the most economical marijuana foods you can make. Because they are light and airy, they require very little ganja butter as opposed to brownies or cupcakes. It is also speculated that this cooking process preserves more THC than baking would, as it is over a very low heat for a short amount of time.

He reached his greatest fame during the outlaw country movement of the 1970s, but remains iconic, especially in American popular culture. In recent years he has continued to tour, record, and perform, and this, combined with activities in advocacy of marijuana. America’s best-known advocate for legalizing marijuana. As a member of NORML’s Board of Advisors and a 4 time High Times cover star, Willie Nelson definitely is a famous stoner.

A well-publicized arrest for marijuana possession in 2006 made him the subject of renewed media attention. After a traffic stop on a Louisiana highway, a search of his tour bus produced 1½ pounds of marijuana and slightly more than 3 ounces of magic mushrooms. Nelson pled guilty to the charges and received $1,024 in fines and six-months’ probation.

But, Best of all… Willie Nelson smoked pot on the White House roof while staying in Washington D.C. as the guest of then-U.S. President Jimmy Carter! How Cool!

Snoop is best known as an MC in the West Coast hip hop scene, and for being one of producer Dr. Dre’s most notable protégés.

His mother nicknamed him “Snoopy” as a child because of the way he dressed and because of his love of the cartoon Peanuts. When he began recording, he took the stage name Snoop Doggy Dogg. He shortened his name to Snoop Dogg in 1998 when he left his original record label Death Row Records and signed with No Limit Records. He popularized the catch phrase suffix “-izzle,” a slang term developed by Oakland, California rap group 3X Krazy in the mid-1990s and used by Bay Area rapper E-40.

Awarded the title of “Stoner of the Year” by High Times magazine in March 2002, Snoop said, “I was having fun when I was getting high. Don’t regret none of the times I was on it. That was me, Snoop Dogg: Stoner of the Year.” He has appeared on the cover of High Times twice.

Snoop admitted he was doing anti-drug ads while getting high himself. “I used to do public service announcements and tell the kids, ‘Say no to drugs,’ and I was high as fuck! Very hypocritical.”

Snoop has also been charged with possession a few times, in December 2001, after Ohio state troopers searched his tour bus and found about 200 grams of bud. The bust occurred while Snoop was travelling with his “Puff, Puff, Pass” tour. His tour the year previously was called “Up In Smoke.” Since 2006, Snoop Dogg has been arrested for marijuana three times.

In 2008 on The Larry King Show Snoop publicized “I’m on medical marijuana as we speak”
he then goes on to say “I don’t drink at all anymore. I just have a medical condition where I need to have medical marijuana in my life.” and then continues to say “It’s only medical, no street weed.”

2008 was a big year for Snoop. His album, Ego Trippin’, features fellow famous stoner Willie Nelson in the song “My Medicine”.

He was the lead singer, songwriter and guitarist for the ska, rocksteady and reggae bands The Wailers (1964 – 1974) and Bob Marley & the Wailers (1974 – 1981).

Bob Marley is a legend and it’s undeniable. He regularly smoked and sang about his favorite herb, marijuana. Bob has appeared on the cover of High Times in 1976, and has dozens of published photos of him smoking.

Marley’s best known hits include “I Shot the Sheriff”, “No Woman, No Cry”, “Exodus”, “Could You Be Loved”, “Stir It Up”, “Jamming”, “Redemption Song”, “One Love” and, together with The Wailers, “Three Little Birds”, as well as the posthumous releases “Buffalo Soldier” and “Iron Lion Zion”. The compilation album, Legend, released in 1984, three years after his death, is the best-selling reggae album ever (10 times platinum in US), with sales of more than 20 million copies. Marley remains the most widely known and revered performer of reggae music, and is credited for helping spread Jamaican music to a worldwide audience.

Which musician has had a greater impact on marijuana smokers than Bob Marley?
